(President:Hideo Tanimoto)has launched the 5814 Series,a 0.3mm pitch board-to-board connector,which has been on sale since February 5th.The core pitch,mating height(0.6mm),and width(1.5mm)of this product not only achieve ultra-miniaturization* in its class,but also prevent damage to the connector during mating operations by reinforcing the unique metal fittings structure.
As communication devices such as smartphones and tablet PCs,and wearable devices such as smartwatches and AR/VR glasses continue to miniaturize and become more high-performance,electronic components mounted on the internal substrates of these devices are required to be smaller in size and take up less space.In addition,due to the increased difficulty of assembly,the importance of an introduction structure that makes it easy for the substrate to be inserted during operation and measures to prevent damage are becoming increasingly important in board-to-board or substrate-to-FPC connectors.
In response to market demand,Kyocera has introduced the"5814"series of connectors,which feature a space-saving design and a structure that prevents damage to the connector during mating.
This product can be used for both board-to-board and substrate-to-FPC applications.

1.Space-saving design
Compared with Kyocera's existing product(0.35mm pitch),the area has been reduced by 32%,contributing to the miniaturization and high performance of equipment.

2.Structure to prevent damage during mating
This connector has a unique structure with two metal parts on the outside and inside of each end of the product that are suitable for their respective functions,which improves accessibility during assembly work and shortens operation time.In addition,by soldering each metal part to the substrate,it is more resistant to deformation and damage.

3.Separate power supply terminals
In addition to the signal terminals,there are two power terminals at both ends,which are suitable for DC 5A/contact current to meet the growing demand for fast charging of smartphones and wearable devices.
